A new home for Quran by Surah
Published August 2, 2026
For years, this has been a community effort — a free download library for the Holy Quran in audiobook (M4B) format, growing Surah by Surah, translation by translation, one listener’s request at a time. The old site carried us a long way, but WordPress was never built for what this project has become: 8 English translations, 3 Urdu translations, 2 tafseer, and 3 recitations, all searchable, all free.
So we rebuilt it — from the ground up, on our own foundation. Same library, same mission, a platform that finally moves as fast as the community around it.
Built for speed and reliability
Off WordPress, ground up — pages load faster, the library holds up under traffic, and access stays easy on any device.
- Faster, every page. A custom-built platform, not a plugin stack — Surah pages, downloads, and search all respond instantly.
- Built to stay up. No more plugin conflicts or surprise downtime. The new platform is ours to maintain, end to end.
- Easy access, any device. Still iBooks and Android app friendly — the same M4B files you rely on, on a site that finally keeps up.
Introducing Learn
A private space to make the Quran a daily practice — not just a listen-and-forget.
- Track progress — see how far you’ve come through each Surah, translation, or tafseer course.
- Resume where you left off — pick up the exact chapter, on any device, any time.
- Bookmark — save the passages you return to again and again.
- Take notes — write reflections alongside the audio that prompted them.
Progress, bookmarks, and notes save to your device by default — no sign-up required. Signing in with Google is optional, and only used to sync that same data across your devices.
Free — 100% kept, and staying that way
Since this library first went online, we’ve never run ads, sold data, or charged for a download. Every translation, every tafseer, every recitation has stayed free — and every feature in this rebuild, Learn included, stays free too. No commercial benefit has been taken from this platform, and none will be.
A few common questions
Do I need to make an account? No. Progress, bookmarks, and notes can be saved locally on your device without any sign-up. Signing in with Google is optional, and only needed to sync that data across devices.
Will the downloads and file format stay the same? Yes. M4B audiobook files, iBooks and Android friendly, with pause, resume, and bookmarks — unchanged.
Is anything going to cost money now? No. The whole platform — library and Learn alike — remains free, as it has been since day one.
What happened to the old site? It’s been fully replaced by this rebuild. Same library, same mission, a faster and steadier home.
