How this library grew, one listener's request at a time
Published July 20, 2026
There was no roadmap document that listed “8 English translations, 3 Urdu translations, 2 tafseer collections, 3 recitations” as a target. The library grew the way most useful community resources do: someone asked for a translation that wasn’t there, someone else pointed to a recitation worth adding, and the catalog got a little more complete each time.
That’s also why the catalog looks the way it does — organized by Surah first, because that’s how the Quran itself is structured, with recitations, translations, and tafseer layered on as separate ways to engage with the same text.
The rebuild changes the platform underneath, not this process. Requests, corrections, and additions are still how the library grows — the new site just makes it faster to add them and easier for everyone to find what’s already there.
