Getting started with Learn: progress, bookmarks, and notes

Learn is a contained workspace for listeners who want to treat a long recitation, translation, or tafseer series as an ongoing study — not a one-time listen.

Start without signing in

Open any course from /learn/ and pick a chapter — listening works immediately in your browser, no account needed. Your position is saved locally as you go.

What Learn tracks

• Progress — how many chapters of a course you’ve completed, shown as a running “N of M chapters complete” bar.
• Resume — the exact position you stopped at, per chapter.
• Bookmarks — spots you want to return to.
• Notes — private reflections tied to a specific point in the audio.

Signing in is optional, and only for sync

If you only ever listen on one device, you don’t need an account at all. Signing in with Google becomes useful the moment you want the same progress, bookmarks, and notes to show up on a second device — a phone and a laptop, for example. Nothing about the public library changes either way.
